Hurricane Frances Update
University officials are closely monitoring the development and path of Hurricane Frances. As of 11 p.m., Wednesday September 1, all classes, on all campuses are cancelled. At this time classes are scheduled to resume on Tuesday morning September 7.University administrative functions such as the Registrar's Office, will continue to operate through 1 p.m. on Thursday September 2 at which time the University will close through Tuesday morning September 7. Employees are expected to report to work on Thursday untill 1 p.m.
All University events have been cancelled. This includes the FIU football game scheduled for Thurday evening.
Please take the time to review your departments emergency plan. Employees are encouraged to complete preparations in their work areas for the possibility of a wind and flood event.
